The Pruftechnik Optalign Plus Laser Alignment Set offers the precision alignment and time saving benefits of a dynamic laser based shaft alignment system. Measurements are taken by simply entering the dimensions of the machine under test and begin automatically when the shaft is rotated. An auto start/stop capability allows for continuous shaft rotation, eliminating couple play effects as well as being able to begin in any position and direction. Three modes of measurement are available, continuous sweep for rotating shafts, static sweep for non-rotatable and uncoupled shafts and multipoint mode for shafts mounted on all types of bearings. In the case of extremely misaligned machines or long spans the measurement range is automatically extended to obtain results. The Optalign plus also allows for the input of any movement restrictions due to bound feet, the coupling type and any thermal growth in the system. Displayed results include the alignment condition, foot correction values, coupling gap and offset.
