Sugdens Crane Hire Toowoomba is a family owned and operated business which provides a safe and efficient crane and telehandler hire service to Toowoomba and surrounding areas. 

Our team of experienced operators and dogman/riggers perform their jobs with confidence and safety to ensure client satisfaction, providing an ever-improving and modern service to our many valued customers.

Our modern fleet includes 14, 20 and 25 Tonne Franna Cranes, an 8 Tonne City Crane, and mid-range slewing cranes from 30 to 55 Tonne Capacity. We now also provide telehandler hire. All cranes and telehandlers are serviced and maintained regularly to the highest standard, to ensure prompt and efficient service at all times.

We provide site inspections and expert lifting advice to ensure the right equipment is provided to complete your lift or project in an efficient and timely manner.

Sugdens Crane Hire are also crane services Preferred Suppliers for Telstra, Toowoomba Regional Council, Queensland Rail and Aurizon.

History

Dick Sugden Crane Hire commenced operations in 1972, providing a safe and efficient crane hire service to Toowoomba and surrounding areas.

Richard and Gloria Sugden established the business with the purchase of a Warman mobile crane, operating from Hill Street, Toowoomba.

It didn't take long for the business to take off as prospective clients heard of the new crane hire company in Toowoomba.  One crane soon became two, and the business purchased premises and moved to the yard in Prescott Street, Toowoomba, which was to be the Crane Hire Depot for the next twenty-four years.

The increasing traffic in Prescott Street made it necessary to relocate to a new depot that allowed easier access for cranes.  The property at 74-78 Water Street was purchased and the depot was relocated in 1996.  The position has proven to be an excellent location, being centrally located in the Toowoomba City.

Recently we have expanded our range of cranes to include telehandlers for hire. Telehandlers are great for relocating equipment and pallets, as they are easy to manoeuver and don't take up much space.

Servicing many industries in our region, we have been involved in the construction of many of Toowoomba's iconic sites and buildings over the years.
