Brief History:

RTL began trading in 1991 as a Joint Venture between Roche Mining, who then became Downer EDI (44% shareholder), Thiess (44% shareholder) and Linfox (12% shareholder) with contracts to provide heavy mobile plant services to the major electricity generators in the Latrobe Valley.

RTL was incorporated in 2011 becoming RTL Mining and Earthworks Pty Ltd and has been operating for over thirty years, earning a reputation as a trusted provider of skilled trade personnel, maintenance, civil construction, and mining services in the Latrobe Valley area. Over the years, RTL has grown from a small local business to a well-established organisation known for its expertise, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.

RTL’s entity is currently owned by Thiess (88% shareholder) and Linfox (12% shareholder), who both play pivotal roles in RTL's success by offering their expertise in management and providing essential financial support.

• Federal Safety Commissioner Accreditation
• Integrated management system, which is certified to:

1. AS/NZ ISO 9001 (Quality),
2. AS/NZ ISO 14001 (Environmental), and
3. AS/NZ 4801 (Safety).

• MRPV Prequalification R4, B3 and F150.
• CAL Accreditation ($50M+ - Northern Territory)

Current Services:

• Heavy earthmoving, plant hire, over-dimensional and general transport.
• Various technical expertise and advice to meet client expectations and asset longevity in mechanical, asset, geotechnical, civil, and environmental fields.
• Highly skilled direct workforce and resource pool consisting of licensed tradespeople, multi-skilled operators, and skilled labourers (riggers, dogmen, scaffolders, form-workers, concreters and steel fixers)
