Starting in the mid 1970’s as McDonald Group and later evolving into Dixie Holdings PTY LTD, Geoffrey McDonald (Director) was born into the industry and has always had a passion for exceeding his client’s needs. Working alongside his son Tom McDonald they are always looking for new challenges to prove the quality and efficiency of their work.

Specialising in Scrapers, Dozers, Graders and Dump Trucks, the Dixie Holdings Facility, based in the Southern Brisbane corridor, has separate divisions supplying Equipment Sales and Rental, Equipment Refurbishment, Fabrication and boiler making, Powertrain Component overhauling and equipment transportation globally.

Specialising in oversize loads ranging from 30 tonne to 150 tonne, Dixie Holdings has experienced operators in control of Drake swing wing low loader floats and dolly’s with Mack Titan trucks, which can transport equipment nationally. Pilot vehicles and operators can also be supplied to ensure the load gets to its destination safely. With close relations to external transport company’s we can always source a way to shift a client’s machine.

Our equipment Sales and Rental division not only sells and rents machines nationally, but we specialise in the importation and exportation of earthmoving machinery globally with connections in America, Europe, the Middle East and Japan. We can assist our clients who are looking for a particular machine, in carrying out the research and sourcing a machine that suits their application and budget.
